We take the safety of all our products very seriously. Every bike we supply is tested to conform to ISO International safety standards, and is clearly labelled so that you can see which standard the bike conforms to. Along with this label and recommendations on page 39 of our user manual we hope you’ll clearly understand each models intended use, and limitations.
ISO standards cover all styles of bike, from tiny kids bikes, up to world dominating touring bikes. Our Squish bikes only fall into 2 categories so it’s not quite as confusing. What determines the standard each Squish model falls into, is it’s size – it’s that simple. A smaller bike needs added protection from fingers traps for example, so it gets a fully enclosed chainguard…whereas a larger bike needs to cope with a higher rider weight, and the demands of a more “enthusiastic” rider, so frames are strengthened and components upgraded.
